For forty years Jim has presented professional courses for the Society for Applied Spectroscopy, The Federation of Analytical and Spectroscopy Societies (now SciX), The Pittsburgh Conference, The Eastern Analytical Symposium, Infrared & Raman Courses, Inc., as well as many other organizations. Topics include, Introduction to Vibrational Spectroscopy, Spectroscopic Sampling Methods, Spectrometric Instrumentation, and Spectral Searching to name a few. Interpretation of Infrared and Raman Spectra is taught under the auspices of Infrared & Raman Courses, Inc.
Background
Jim has more then 45 years experience in analytical chemistry and vibrational spectroscopy. His work has focused on a wide variety of topics, particularly with Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, infrared and Raman spectral interpretation, spectral searching and identification, development of novel near-infrared spectrometers, and nano-sampling.
